Democrats want to stop the abuse private companies have done to the markets. Both like to point out what the other is doing wrong, except when it is the same thing they are doing.

Money makes Washington go round. There's the problem. Take private and corporate money and lobbyists out of politics, and you have fixed the source of our problems. A few radio hosts and other voices for political sides like to say "well I shouldn't have to pay for elections, and if I don't (through higher taxes) then who will?" Just as they hang up the phone.

Well, here is where I will answer that question. Shut down the pouring of money into political campaign funds and first off, you will stop seeing favor after political favor for corporations. Second, acts such as free trade will be seen for what they are and can be changed or reversed with a new Fair Trade act. Businesses will no longer avoid paying trillions of dollars in taxes by moving their incorporation documents off-shore. There is your money right there.

More to come, good night.

The problem with government,

Adam Smith pointed out a few years back (think 1776, a good year), capitalism, as all forms of government, all eventually are run by individuals with power acting in self-interest.

Basically, a large society governing entity, no matter the number of people, is subject to the laws of human nature. People are flawed. Greed and self interest are fostered when power is involved. Corruption flows when those with power are not held accountable. Like children who get away with little acts of bad behavior, they soon move on to bigger and much worse behavior.

Our government relies on thousands of people who all need to act in the best interest of the entire country (and sometimes the world). But they fail us. They fail us on a daily basis. The police officer who allows a fellow officer to get away with a crime, the politician who votes and campaigns for his monetary donors, the vice president who monetarily benefits from a war he pushes for.

Each person who works for our government or is elected by us, needs to be a better person than most. Since there is hardly a way to measure a persons spirit, we need instead to discourage bad behavior and not make it such good fortune to take the wrong road. Severe punishment can curb a lot, but also can the exposure of the small things, a politician having a ticket reversed, a police officer acting un-professionally and yes, a vice president profiting from the deaths of thousands of American soldiers.

Hey Dennis Miller,

This morning on your radio show on 560 am, you said you do not want the government involved in anything they do not have to be. You were speaking mostly about the current HealthCare issue. You then went on to state why you don;t want government involved; lack of responsibility and accountability. I agree. But instead of throwing your hands up and saying it's hopeless, why not create a movement to fix that problem? It's easier to just point the finger at the Dems and say they are doing it wrong because government is not running right and cannot run right?

Fix the real problem instead of acting like you and the republicans are smarter than the democrats because you know the government does not run as it should. It's not a secret by any stretch.

So how about it? The Miller Accountability act of 2010? You know this healthcare reform will keep them busy until next year. I'll back that bill.

Time to clean HOUSE

The United States of America was founded on basic principals. One of those principals was the US Constitution, a living document which can be altered as times change.

A lot of politicians, activists and voices for both sides forget the latter part of that statement. It is a document which can be changed, because times change.

Times have changed, the US has had laws that encouraged industry and allowed companies to become more powerful than the people, in more ways than one. Companies can contribute hundreds of millions of dollars to political campaigns, you can't. In return for these contributions, companies seek and get favors. As a result politicians will resort to anything to get more and more contributions to get in office, which means doing anything to support contributors. Do you think companies have your best interest at heart?

So, the way the US government was set up to encourage business was used by businesses to in turn gain too much power.

Let me give you an analogy. Unions, before unions were first formed, labor jobs in the US were absurd, deaths on the job, minimal pay, no benefits, if you got hurt you got fired. Basically human beings were used like tools. Unions begain to form to make things fair for the worker and it worked. The US had the best labor conditions, great pay and benefits. Then things swing in the other direction. Today, unions are oft too powerful for companies, make absurd demands and protect employees who hurt the company. When you talk to certain Union members, they understand, others still have the old mentality that the Union is right no matter what. Some unions are very good, others are not.

Back to the topic at hand. Companies have influenced our government to no end.

Care to disagree? Let me ask you this, why would a company want to give hundreds of millions of dollars to a political campaign? Just to be nice?

Talk Radio, freedom of speech is being raped

There is such thing as freedom of speech in the US. It is the first ammendment to the US constitution. However, when it is used as a smear campaign against people of the opposing party, it is not an innocent and un-punishable act. Jail time? No. But being subject to their own type of humiliation would work quite nicely. Meaning I don't think it should be against the law but I also think people should have consequences for their ill-mannered tactics.

I listen to AM 560 in Chicago mostly because the Liberal station I found was even more immature, sound effects and needless laughing. I want to hear about the world of politics and not some people giggling like children. I drop off my son at daycare to escape that.

So, when i listen to AM 560 in Chicago, I am treated to a lot of seriousness. They are mad and incensed about ObamaCare as they like to call it. Why are they mad? Well they can only quote from their puppeteers, the Republican Politicians who say something negative enough for them to use. But here is my problem with that, when did we stop telling our political leaders what we want, and when did we shut up and listen to what they want? Here's an idea that is real noble, get and form an opinion for yourself. And here's another noble thought, don't insult people who disagree with you.

In a workd with free speech, that does not mean you cannot get upset, it also does not mean you can forget your manners. Did your parents teach you to insult people and call them names? Would you call Obama a Fascist Dictator to his face if you were given the opportunity? If you did do you think you would ever have a meaningful dialogue with him again?

It would be one thing if these hosts came forth and said "we have found in subsection G, page 2376 that the intent of the Health Care reform is to move the country to universal Healthcare", but they go to some senator who says "it's (The Healthcare reform act) a ploy to move the country to Universal Healthcare". Ok, Where did he get that? Just because he is a Senator he is right? So we should vote them in and then let them do as they wish and hang on every word?? I bet you if you tracked don where his campaign contributions came from, they'd show whay he is saying that.

WTF?

As for the people who listen to these shows. Puppets being strung along by the other puppets. Seriously, the people who add something of their own are usually conspiracy theorists or they simply state how Universal Healthcare is a complete failure of democracy because doctors won't get paid. Ok. Today, as it sits, doctors are underpaid. If we actually cut out a lot of the insurance and admin BS, doctors could stand to make more. THINK FOR YOURSELF. Just because Michael Medved or Dennis Miller or Michael Savage call these people liberal idiots, morons, fascists, socialists, fascist dictators, does not mean you should forget your manners as well and do the same thing. Ask them for facts.

If Obama was a Fascist Dictator, the healthcare reform would not involve something called an OPTION, which is a major part of the reform. End of Story.
